Cheri was a friend and mentor to me, a leader in starting and developing the Dane County Timebank, especially the TimeBank Youth Court, in-prison mindfulness training, prison homecoming projects, and so much more.
I don’t even know where to begin and it’s not possible to express the magnitude of her impact on this world, and the feelings of everyone who knew and loved her (from near and afar) and are now coming to grips with her loss.
“Justice is what love looks like in public” – I don’t know who said it originally, but I heard it frequently from Cheri, and watched her embody it wholly.
May we always aim to honor her spirit, her vision, her love for the world and its humans.
In sorrow and gratitude for having been blessed with her presence,
